We are delighted to announce the upcoming A Call to Nurse the World Workshop, aimed at enabling Kenyan trained nurses to explore international career opportunities. The workshop will be held at North Coast Medical Training College on the 8th and 9th of July2023 .

As the demand for healthcare professionals continues to grow globally, this workshop aims to equip Kenyan nurses with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue employment opportunities abroad. We understand that working internationally can be a transformative experience, offering exposure to diverse healthcare systems, advanced technologies, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on a global scale.

What will be of interest?

To learn that achieving your ambition to work abroad is not a mystery, or based on luck, but a reality you can easily make with a slight shift in your routine, good couching and mastering simple scholarly techniques.

 

During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to:

  1. First timers will understand the transition process and what is required of them to transit and work abroad.
  2. Those already enrolled will understand how to pass NCLEX on first attempt.
  3. For those preparing for IELTS or OET, support will be available.
  4. Learn about the process of working as a nurse abroad, including visa requirements, certifications, and licensing procedures.
  5. Gain insights into different international healthcare systems, best practices, and cultural considerations.
  6. Explore employment opportunities in various countries and regions, along with the associated benefits and challenges.
  7. Enhance their cross-cultural communication and adaptability skills.
  8. Receive guidance on preparing a competitive international nursing resume and navigating the recruitment process.
