North Coast Medical Training College (NCMTC) is proud to be actively participating in the 3rd Kilifi County Biennial Health Scientific Symposium, taking place on 9th & 10th December 2025. The two-day event has brought together leading health experts, researchers, innovators, and students from across the region to explore new knowledge and strengthen efforts toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
The symposium features a vibrant programme, including innovations showcases, evidence-based research presentations, best-practice discussions, keynote speeches, and high-level panel conversations. Dozens of studies conducted within Kilifi County are being shared, each offering fresh insights into improving community health and healthcare systems.
A major highlight of this year’s symposium is the presence of distinguished leaders:
-
Kilifi County Governor, Hon. Gideon Mung’aro
-
Kilifi County CEC for Health, Hon. Peter Mwarogo
-
Lamu County Deputy Governor and CEC for Health, Hon. Mbarak Mohamed Mbarai
Their attendance reaffirms the growing commitment by county governments to champion research, innovation, and evidence-driven health solutions.
NCMTC takes immense pride in not only attending but also contributing significantly to the event. The college has been part of the organizing team, working closely with partners to ensure a successful and impactful symposium. Our delegation—comprising committed staff members and enthusiastic students from the NCMTC Research Club—is showcasing the college’s growing footprint in scientific inquiry.
This year, NCMTC is presenting three research studies, including:
-
Two oral presentations, and
-
One poster presentation
These presentations highlight the college’s dedication to developing competent, research-oriented healthcare professionals who can address real-world health challenges.
As NCMTC continues to invest in research and innovation, our participation in this high-profile scientific forum marks yet another milestone in our mission to nurture future health leaders and contribute meaningfully to Kenya’s healthcare transformation
