The North Coast Medical Training College (NCMTC) – Machakos Campus  on 31st July 2025 officially  received  inspection and accreditation from the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA), giving the green light to begin admitting students.

This milestone marks a significant step in expanding NCMTC’s footprint in Kenya’s healthcare training sector. With accreditation now secured, the institution is set to welcome its very first cohort of students, with the September 2025 intake officially open.

The accreditation inspection was conducted by TVETA officials, including Mrs. Mary Munyi and Mr. James Muli, who were received by Mr. Kilian Mwadime, Training Manager at NCMTC and Acting Principal – Machakos Campus. Also present were Mr. Johnson Nanjakululu, Board Member – NCMTC; Dr. Marianne Darwinkel, NCMTC Director & Executive Director – Machakos Campus; and Brian Kimondo, Board Member – NCMTC Machakos.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Darwinkel expressed excitement at the opportunity to serve Machakos and its surrounding counties.

“This is more than just an accreditation — it’s a promise to provide quality, hands-on healthcare training that meets the nation’s growing demand for skilled medical professionals,” she said.

The Machakos Campus will offer a range of TVET-approved medical and health-related courses, designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.visit our website to see more about courses offered.
