NCMTC Hosts Groundbreaking Culinary Medical Symposium on Nutrition and Health

Category : Heath and Research

North Coast Medical Training College (NCMTC) is hosting an exciting and impactful Culinary Medical Symposium in collaboration with Tonic Nutrition and Research Solutions, bringing together experts, students, and institutions to explore the powerful link between food and health.

Held under the theme “Beyond the Taste: The Science of Food Preparation for Optimal Nutrition and Therapeutic Function,” the symposium focuses on developing natural, nutrition-based solutions for patients with different medical conditions. The event emphasizes the importance of preparing food not just for satisfaction, but for healing and overall well-being.

The symposium has attracted participation from leading institutions, including Pwani University, Kenya Utalii College, and Kiambu North Polytechnic, alongside representatives from the Kilifi County Ministry of Health. Among the notable attendees is Bendzadze Nyawa.

The event, which concludes on 30th April 2026, features insightful discussions, research presentations, and practical demonstrations aimed at transforming how communities understand nutrition and its therapeutic value.

At a time when many people view food simply as a means to feel full, this symposium serves as a timely reminder that nutrition goes beyond satisfaction—it is essential for prevention, management, and recovery from disease.

NCMTC continues to lead in innovative health education by bridging science, nutrition, and community impact.
