North Coast Medical Training College (NCMTC) is a private-not-for profit medical training college located in Kilifi-South. Since 2012, NCMTC is training a wide array of healthcare workers at certificate, diploma, and post-basic diploma level. It is known for pioneering competency based and student-centred training approaches in Kenya using modern training facilities and technologies.
In its quest to give opportunities to fresh graduates and help them put into practice what they learnt, NCMTC has an opportunity of an intern to join the Library team in organizing and facilitating library activities and whose core tasks and responsibilities are outlined below.
Tasks and responsibility
- Issuing, renewing, and returning library books
- Maintaining library electronic system and updating information.
- Updating and managing library database.
- Conducting inspection of library equipment including desktop, books, and library stationery.
Required competencies
- Good report-writing skills
- Good listening skills
- Good organization skills.
Required education and experience
- Diploma in library science or information studies
- Certificate in e-literacy course
- At least 1 year experience working in a training institution library.
Added advantages
- Registered with Kenya Library Association
- Experience with e-learning
