Category : Admissions

North Coast Medical Training College – Machakos (NCMTC) proudly marked a historic milestone with its very first student admissions. On September 30, 2025, the Machakos Campus officially opened its doors to pioneering learners, setting the stage for an exciting journey in medical education and training.

The inaugural cohort was admitted into two key programs: Community Health and Peri-Operative Technology. These students represent the beginning of what promises to become a legacy of excellence in healthcare training at the institution.

College Director Marianne Darwinkel expressed her excitement at this achievement, describing it as a transformative step in Kenya’s healthcare education.

“This marks the beginning of our story as an institution. Every great journey begins with a single step, and today we celebrate that step with our first cohort. We look forward to welcoming more in the coming days and weeks,” she said.

Admissions remain open until mid-October, with the next official intake scheduled for January 13, 2026. The College remains optimistic about increased enrollment as awareness grows through ongoing outreach and marketing.

With a dedicated faculty, modern facilities, and a curriculum designed to blend professional skills with real-world experience, NCMTC Machakos is positioning itself as a center for quality medical training that meets both local and global healthcare needs.

The admission of the first students is more than an administrative milestone — it represents the realization of a vision to nurture healthcare professionals who will serve with skill, compassion, and innovation.

As NCMTC Machakos takes this bold first step, the future of healthcare training in Kenya looks brighter than ever.
