A passion for new knowledge and a dedication to a healthier world inspired the founding of North Coast Medical Training College. Through research, discoveries, and treatments, countless lives across Kilifi South and around the world are being changed for the better every day. Since 2012, our pioneering spirit, collaboration, and impactful partnerships helped shape our community and the people we serve.

From the beginning, our mission has been to look beyond the horizon– to train highly competent healthcare workers using modern and innovative technology in order to improve healthcare for the local and global communities. 2012 marked the first year of new requirements for graduate study at North Coast Medical Training College creating what was the first competency-based cohort and enrolling 12 students. Over the past 10 years, the school has grown to include nearly 1,100 students studying in 8 different graduate programs in health sciences.

Our alumni have quite literally changed the world through their creation of new knowledge, in the process winning best Nurse of the County, being chosen as the best to work abroad and many other awards and accolades. Since inception, our community of directors, partners, physicians, researchers, alumni and students have helped us build a premier learning institution that rewards hard work, inquiry and collaboration.
